Primary Funding Opportunities
Early Years Continuing Education Program
Full-time, working ECEs may qualify for up to $5,000 per year and up to $10,000 per program through the Early Years Continuing Education Program.
Early Years Continuing Education Program
Part-time, working ECEs may qualify for up to $1,000 per year through the Early Years Continuing Education Program.
Federal or Provincial Student Loans (Financial Aid)
Students can apply to the Canada Student Loan Program.
Employment Support Services (ESS)
If you are a recipient of income assistance, you may qualify for Employment Support Services (ESS).
Nova Scotia Skills Development Program
Provides unemployed, Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) eligible participants, who need to learn additional basic to advanced skills to find work.
Aboriginal Peoples Training & Employment Commission (APTEC)
Provides human resource development services to the rural, urban, off-reserve Mi’kmaq / Aboriginal Peoples of Nova Scotia.
African Canadian Services Scholarship Program
Offers six scholarships to support African Canadians who have graduated high school in Nova Scotia to access post-secondary education. $1,800 per year / $3,600 for a two-year program.
Nova Scotia Student Assistance for Full-time Studies
A combination of loans and grants, from both the Government of Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada.
Nova Scotia Student Assistance for Part-time Studies
A combination of loans and grants, from both the Government of Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada.
ISANS Atlantic Immigrant Career Loan Fund
ISANS helps Permanent Residents or immigrant Canadian citizens and internationally trained immigrants with micro loans to assist with funding their education.
